On April 10th, Continental Tires unveiled its APAC market flagship tire model, MaxContact MC7 (MC7) in Sydney, Australia. Continental Tires invited automotive media and APAC regional distributors to participate in a series of MC7 tire tests and driving experiences. At the MC7 tire launch event, Continental Tires also showcased other new tire models and offerings, including the energy-saving eContact tire designed for electric vehicles, the CrossContact Extreme E tire used in the Extreme E off-road racing series, and the UltraContact NXT tire with a high proportion of recycled materials reaching up to 65% when producing the tire. The MC7 tire is positioned as a UHP tire, emphasizing the capability of striking the splendid balance between handling performance and quietness. It is positioned just below the European Product Assortment Sport Contact 7 (SC7). Apart from performance and handling, it also takes into account on the daily usage and requirements such as quietness, comfort, and durability, making the tire more suitable for daily use. The newly introduced Sport+ Technology gives the MC7 tire significant breakthrough on reducing buzz, imporving wet surface traction, and rolling resistance compared to its predecessor, the MC6, making the MC7 a more comprehensive and competitive street tire.
